Danube University Krems is one of Europe's leading providers of university programmes parallel to employment, which offer in particular executives and academics an opportunity to update their knowledge. To strengthen our team at the Faculty of Business and Globalization/ Department for Knowledge and Communication Management we are looking for a committed Ph.D. Candidate to participate in a research project ("Towards Integrated Mental Models of Cultural Heritage Data" until 31. 03. 2019).
Your tasks:
- developing methods and prototypes for interactive information visualization
- Ph.D. in collaboration with the Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems, University of Technology Vienna
- working on academic publications and presentations together with the project team
Your profile:
- master degree in Computer Science with focus on software development or similar qualification
- excellent programming skills, especially HTML5, Javascript (jQuery, d3.js)
- experience with 3D-visualization via WebGL
- knowledge or interest in the areas of Visual Analytics and Interaction Design
- fluency in the English language and basic proficiency in German or willingness to learn
- willingness to work (part-time) at Krems or Vienna, Austria
