Azure is a novel hedge fund/structured finance company in its startup phase (a subsidiary of Cheyne Capital Management, London). Our customers are institutional investors. We are developing risk models and applications for our traders in the financial sector. To strengthen our technology team in Vienna we are looking for a junior developer, with a keen interest in finance.
Your tasks:
Develop models with data from rating agencies and our risk analysis
Create daily reports (using a reporting suite, e.g. crystal reports)
Develop front ends to various trading applications (GUI related projects)
Intense collaboration with the London team (monthly trips to London)
Your profile:
Very good knowledge of Java and SQL especially data structures & algorithms, software engineering, object oriented programming, compilers, operating systems, databases, concurrency, security, networking and digital electronics.
Knowledge in C/C++/Linux/ Shell Scripting would be an asset
Basics of set theory, calculus, numerical analysis, probability theory and logic
Very good English (company language)
Problem solving competence
Analytical skills
Proactive and initiative personality
During the first six months we offer a very well paid free lancer contract. After the launch in Austria we can offer a regular employment.
