Hello everyone 👋
I'm a freelance SEO consultant and I've just received a new project to work on the positioning of a website in Spanish: https://calculadoradehoras.io/
So far, I've mostly worked with English-language sites, so I'm familiar with general SEO tools and strategies, but I'd like to know the specific best practices when it comes to working with a different language, especially Spanish.
What steps do you consider key when doing SEO in another language, beyond typical keyword research and on-page optimization?
For example:
- Do you change your keyword sources (do you use Ubersuggest, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner in ES mode?)
- How do you validate search intent in a different language?
- Do you use native writers or AI for content?
- What do you consider important for local SEO in Spanish-speaking countries (such as Spain or Latin America)?
- How do you manage link building if most of the relevant sites are in another language?
Any experiences, tips, mistakes to avoid, or tools you use would be super helpful!
Thanks in advance and happy to learn from you
