The Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien (ftw.) is a young company with a dynamic and international atmosphere that conducts application-oriented research in telecommunications. Our mission is to fill the gap between science and industry, pursuing a challenging research program in collaboration with both academic and industrial partners.
Currently we are hiring for the following position:
Junior Plone/Zope Developer & Systems Administrator
ftw. is currently looking for a software developer/systems administrator for web platforms based on the Plone content management system.
Core Tasks
- Development/integration, testing/bugfixing Plone/Zope components (products)
- Implementing web designs with CSS
- User support
- Documentation tasks
- Maintenance, administration, and monitoring of Linux-based server(s) for Plone hosting
Requirements
- Good programming skills
- Solid HTML/CSS skills and experience with web design
- Technical troubleshooting experience
- Good understanding of networking and common network services - notion about networking security
- Experience with Unix/Linux system administration
Ideally, candidates should also have additional know-how in the areas of:
- Python programming
- Content management systems and web application servers, in particular Plone and Zope
- Apache web server administration
- Shell scripting (Linux bash)
- LDAP / Microsoft Active Directory
General Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Enthusiasm and creativity for/in solving problems
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly
- Studies of computer science or a related discipline a plus
